Time for care

When Managing Director, Yvette Connor set up Nayland Care as a domiciliary care agency, she knew she would be able to make a difference. But she never quite imagined how successful Nayland Care would become.

Thinking back to her very first client as a support worker for another care agency, Yvette recalls feeling “frustrated by the lack of flexibility and ‘cold’ clinical approach to care”. She wanted to see the introduction of real person centred care – not just for the gentleman she was supporting but for all the people yet to receive care. Believe it or not, Nayland Care started out life at home (Yvette’s garage to be precise).

Fast forward to today and Nayland Care is a true family-run business with a team of over 50 carers spanning Essex and Suffolk.

Yvette continues to run the business with her daughter and Company Director Chelsey Cookson, who is degree educated in care and an accredited Senior Trainer specialising in dementia care. Her experience and academic knowledge continue to assist Nayland Care’s staff in delivering a high standard of domiciliary care.
