Domestic Home Help

Time for care

We understand all too well that you may not wish to lean on friends and family for home help.

Family members may live too far away or perhaps they
have other commitments that make it difficult to just pop by.
That’s where Nayland Care can help.

Our home help domestic service makes lighter work of keeping on top of everyday household tasks that perhaps you find more difficult or simply don’t wish to spend your time on.

Unlike conventional domestic services, our home help service is built into your agreed individual home care plan. There may be some activities you like to do and bring a sense of routine to your day, but there may be others that you find a bind or even tricky.

Guided by how you like to live

Whilst our carers are visiting you, they can also make your bed, run the hoover round, give your bathroom a clean or dust those hard to reach places.

In the same way, as our care plans are tailored to your personal care needs, so too is the home help services element of our support. The beauty of our home help service is that we can provide intermittent support, from once or twice a week to every day.

We’re guided by how you like to run your home and we’ll take care of your belongings as if they were our own.

What our home care clients say

A big thank you to everyone who cared for our husband and dad, Patrick. We appreciate everything you did to make his life easier and to help him stay in his home. A special thanks goes to Pauline who made him smile every morning when she visited.

Barbara & Daughter -

Please give me thanks to all the team at Nayland Care in supporting Vera to live well at home – in particular, Shannon and Chris for their kind attention to Vera.

Pat - Husband of Vera

Many thanks for your kindness and patience during the care assessment for my dad, Geoffrey. All is going well, and he is responding positively to your great caring staff.

Thirza - Daughter of Geoffrey

Bob has been my carer for some time now. He is kind and considerate. When he arrives, he has always got a smile for you. Nothing is too much trouble. He has listened to my problems. The day would not be the same without him.

Your home help options

For many people, home help forms part of their overall care plan. Most often, it makes sense that if we are there helping you get dressed or washed that we change your bedding or wash your towels.

Although not an exhaustive list, our home help usually involve some or all the following domestic services:

  • Making, changing and washing bedding
  • Washing and ironing clothes
  • Dusting
  • Hoovering
  • Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
  • Help tidying and ordering items
  • Changing and taking out bins

We provide home help in the same manner as we do all our care services – with a smile on our face and time for you.

Home Care in Ipswich & Suffolk

Your care at home funding options

Whether you receive care funding from your local authority, the NHS or are completely self-funding us as a private healthcare service, you’ll receive the same level of care.

Our highly experienced home care team will carry out a full care needs assessment to create an agreed care at home plan. As part of this process, you will also be assessed to see how much you can afford to pay towards the cost of services and whether your care needs could be met by the local authority.

If you have eligible needs, the local authority has a duty of care to meet those needs, but it can charge for services. Alternatively, you may be eligible for NHS funding (if your care needs meet specific criteria) or choose to privately fund your care. Either way, we will create a support plan that carefully takes your finances into account.

Please click on the buttons to find out more:

NHS Continuing Healthcare

For clients with complex or palliative healthcare needs who meet specific criteria, the NHS can fund the support of Nayland Care as part of a continuing healthcare package of care.

Financial help from social services

If the council has assessed you, and agreed you need care and support, you will then be means-tested to see how much you need to contribute, if anything, and how much the council will pay.

Personal Budgets

Depending on where you live, you might be able to use a personal budget; another way in which your local council may pay towards any social care and support you need. It is designed to give you more choice.

Allocated Allowances

If you’re 65 or over and need help with personal care tasks, you may be able to claim Attendance Allowance (AA). If you’re under 65 and need care and support, you may be eligible for Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

Privately funded care

If you’re not eligible for local authority financial support, you’ll have to fund your own home care. Of course, we’ll always look for the most cost-effective way to meet your care needs.
